Your first class

Day one,
step by step.

The biggest fear is walking in and getting crushed. So we mapped out your first class in five simple steps. You just have to show up.

Book your first class

Free. Nothing to bring but water.

  1. 01

    Arrive

Come ten minutes early. Someone at the desk knows your name and gives you the tour.

  2. 02

    Borrow a gi

Clean, folded, in your size. Lockers, showers and towels are on us.

  3. 03

    Warm up together

Fifteen minutes of easy movement. Nobody is keeping score.

  4. 04

    Start with Fundamentals

Your first class is Fundamentals, made for people who are brand new. You learn the basics one step at a time, at your own pace.

  5. 05

    No hard sparringOur promise

Not on day one. You leave having learned something, not having been tested.

Why we train differently

Hard training. Soft landings.

  1. 01

    A curriculum, not a lottery

Sixteen-week cycles. You always know what you’re learning this week, and why it matters next week.

  2. 02

    Safety is the culture

Tap early, tap often. Coaches pair partners by size and experience. Injuries are the exception here, not a rite of passage.

  3. 03

    Nobody’s proving anything

Higher belts help lower belts. Leave your ego at the door, and your shoes on the rack.

FAQ

The four questions
everyone asks.

Something else? Text us: (928) 612-3939

Q1
Do I need to be in shape?
No. Jiu-jitsu gets you in shape, not the other way around. Sit out any drill, any time.
Q2
Will I get hurt?
Injuries are rare here. No hard sparring for beginners, partners matched by size, a coach on every round.
Q3
Am I too old?
Some of our beginners started in their 60s. Jiu-jitsu rewards patience far more than athleticism.
Q4
Is there a contract?
No. Month to month, pause anytime, cancel with 30 days’ notice. That’s the whole policy.
